The “Fearsome Fairy Tales for Fearless Adults” Tour of Surrey

Not everything fairy is sweetness and light. These are the dark tales of the fairy world where everything is not as it seems - are you brave enough to take the time to listen?

In 2009, Surrey was taken by a Storm of Storytellers telling dark tales of the Faerie World, where everything is not as it seems. The challenge was - are you brave enough to listen? Many answered the call, and went home quaking in their boots, looking nervously over their shoulders.

In 2010 – it’s the return! Dare you come back?

Following on from the highly successful tour in 2009 the "return" 2010 autumn tour of Surrey will happen. We are just confirming the details, but we can tell you that  on Wednesday 20th. October 2010 we will be in Guildford as part of the Guildford Book Festival.

Date: 20th October 2010.
Time: 7.30 -10.00 pm.
Venue: Guildford Institute, Ward Street, Guildford, Surrey, GU1 4LH.
Price: £6 or £4 concessions.
Not suitable for under 14’s or adults of a nervous disposition!

Come and discover the ancient art of storytelling for adults and be beguiled and bewitched by professional storytellers. There will be an open mike session where anyone with a story can tell – no reading aloud allowed!

These stories are brought to you by members of the Surrey Storytellers Guild who run the "Three Heads in a Well" Storytelling Circle for Adults in Ewell Village.

The aim of the tour is the promotion of Storytelling for Adults by professional storytellers who are members of the Surrey Storytellers Guild. They visit different venues in Surrey to both tell tales to adults and encourage local listeners to also tell a tale too - just as we do at a typical "Three Heads in a Well" evening.
